Live Webcast: Educating Frontline Clinicians to Reduce Missed Opportunities for HBV Screening

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is one of the leading causes of chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer in the United States, but HBV screening opportunities are often missed due to the bias, stigma, or knowledge deficits of health care professionals (HCPs) and the lack of linkage to care. Front-line HCPs, particularly in community-based settings, need education on universal screening practices as well as a multi-faceted approach for streamlining linkage to care, including cultural humility training to overcome barriers related to social determinants of health (SDoH).

In this live CME Outfitters webcast, expert faculty will focus on universal HBV screening with triple panel testing to accurately identify patients with active HBV infection. The faculty will also present strategies and best practices for linking patients with HBV to appropriate medical care based on interpretation of serological test results while factoring in SDoH.
