CIDP Masterclass

Early Diagnosis, Emerging Options, Better Outcomes

A Project ECHO® Initiative

Series Description

Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) remains a challenging, heterogeneous condition—too often underdiagnosed, misdiagnosed, or managed suboptimally. The result? Preventable progression, long-term disability, and diminished quality of life. Even with established guidelines, clinicians continue to grapple with recognizing varied presentations, applying diagnostic criteria with certainty, and navigating the limitations of current therapies. And with new biologic agents on the horizon and accelerating research on immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoantibodies and disease mechanisms, staying current has never been more essential.

CIDP Masterclass: Early Diagnosis, Emerging Options, Better Outcomes is a five-part accredited CE series delivered through the dynamic Project ECHO® collaborative learning model. Designed for neurologists, neuromuscular specialists, nurse practitioners, physician associates, pharmacists, and neurology-focused nurses, this immersive program brings together foundational knowledge, real-world case discussions, and cutting-edge insights to elevate your approach to CIDP.

Participants are encouraged to join the full learning journey to gain a cohesive, practice-transforming experience—one that equips you to diagnose earlier, treat smarter, and partner with patients for improved long-term outcomes.

The Challenge

CIDP Is Complex. Managing It Can Be Isolating.

CIDP presents with diverse phenotypes, diagnostic mimics, and evolving treatment options. There can be uncertainty around diagnosis, variants, and therapy transitions, often without easy access to subspecialty input. With new biologic agents on the horizon and accelerating research on immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoantibodies and disease mechanisms, staying current has never been more essential.

The Experience

A Case-Based, Collaborative Learning Model.

This Project ECHO® series is built around de-identified cases submitted by participants, reflecting real diagnostic and management challenges from everyday neurology practice. Case should contain de-identified info and submitters are expected to present their case. Case presenters will receive an honorarium.

Bring Your Cases. Learn Together.

Participants, including neurologists, neuromuscular specialists, nurse practitioners, physician associates, pharmacists, and nurses, engage in guided discussion with expert faculty and peers, prioritizing shared problem-solving over traditional lectures.

Become Part of a CIDP Community of Practice.

Through ECHO’s all-teach, all-learn model, you will learn alongside colleagues across practice settings, building a collaborative community of practice focused on improving diagnosis, navigating emerging therapies, and supporting long-term patient care.

Learning Objectives

  • Assess the clinical heterogeneity and pathophysiology of CIDP, including the significance of IgG autoantibodies in its development
  • Utilize guideline-recommended diagnostic criteria to identify patients with CIDP
  • Evaluate current and emerging treatment options, including limitations of standard therapies and appropriate integration of novel agents into practice
  • Incorporate collaborative care strategies to enhance long-term outcomes and quality of life for individuals with CIDP

Financial Support

Supported through an independent educational grant from argenx.

Target Audience

Neurologists, neuromuscular specialists, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician associates (PAs), pharmacists, and nurses in the neurology setting.
